To my brothers, sisters, friends, both new and old… My name is Brian and I am the owner and founder of def.i.ni.ción, a clothing company dedicated to raising awareness about work being done all over the world for those who are in need of an opportunity. It is about education, responsibility, action, and grace. For myself, it made sense to start def.i.ni.ción with a Tibetan shirt. I had the wonderful opportunity to study and live in Chengdu, Sichuan while befriending many Tibetan college students in addition to traveling to many different Tibetan areas. Whether it was walking up in the Amdo grasslands, crossing paths with the proud Khambas or taking in the sights and sounds of the Jokhang, Tibet and her people took up residence in my heart. The shirt below was and is a natural result of spending time in Tibet and with the Tibetan people… 
The word “yamtshar” translates to different, strange and amazing.  
The yak, an animal that is an integral part of Tibetan culture, stands on the back of the grassland green shirt. def.i.ni.ción’s mandate is to partner with groups/organizations that are working to provide opportunities for those who are in need of one. In this case, def.i.ni.ción is working with Alpha Communities. 10% of each shirt sale will go to Alpha Communities helping them to provide scholarships to Tibetan nomad children. Alpha Communities believes that education is the one thing that can level the playing field and help these nomad families break free from the chains of poverty.
